Our client, a leader in the medical device industry, is seeking a Principal Engineer - Disposables R&D, Sustaining to join their team. As a Principal Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Principal Engineer - Disposables R&D, Sustaining

Location: Plymouth, MN (Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite)

What's the Job?

• Lead design and development of product changes within sustaining engineering for disposable medical devices.
• Serve as the technical expert for design change programs, including new products and supplier materials.
• Identify, investigate, and solve complex engineering problems using risk-based approaches and engineering tools.
• Coordinate and communicate efforts of R&D in collaboration with global cross-functional stakeholders.
• Adhere to design control procedures and regulatory guidelines.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Plastics, Biomedical Engineering or a related field; MS preferred.
• 5 - 8 years of related experience in Class II or Class III disposable medical product development.
• Advanced knowledge of plastics materials and processing techniques.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
