NOW HIRING: Prior Authorization Coordinator
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Fully Onsite)
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay: $20–$24/hour
Duration: Temporary – 3-Month Project
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Are you organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in medical billing or authorizations? We’re looking for a Prior Authorization Coordinator to support our team on a 3-month project.
This position plays a vital role in ensuring patients receive timely care by managing the authorization process with accuracy and efficiency.
Submit and track prior authorization requests
Verify insurance eligibility and patient benefits
Communicate with providers, patients, and insurance companies
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Monitor and follow up on pending authorizations
Process appeals as needed
Identify and suggest improvements to workflow and procedures
2+ years of experience in medical authorizations
High school diploma required (Associate’s degree preferred)
Strong understanding of insurance requirements and medical necessity criteria
Proficiency with Athena or similar healthcare systems
Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
90% success rate on initial authorization requests
24-hour turnaround on status updates
Accurate authorization tracking
Minimized authorization-related claim denials
