Hey, it’s Ben the founder of The Tallowed Truth, and I am looking for an experienced production manager to run our small but growing tallow skincare manufacturing facility from supply chain to inventory.

Here is an overview of what I’m looking for:  

In person production lead in Peterborough Ontario - Must be able to commute or relocate this is an in person job.  

Compensation: $120K–$160K CAD Base + Bonuses

Role Overview:

We’re hiring a Production Lead to ramp our output from 2,000 units/day to 20,000+ over the next few years. You’ll optimize our setup, mentor a tight crew, and roll out new products fast. This is your chance to build a growth engine for a skincare brand on the rise.

Responsibilities:

• Scale Output: Push production from 2,000 units/day to 5,000+ short-term, 20,000+ long-term—same space, smarter systems.
• Max Capacity: Unlock our plant’s potential (currently 30%)—no new leases, just efficiency.
• Team Growth: Lead and upskill a 6-person team, scaling to 10+ as we grow.
• Product Launches: Sync with ops and R&D to launch 3–4 new SKUs in 2025—fast and flawless.
• Quality & Cost: Keep quality tight and costs low as volume spikes—profit’s our core.
• Growth Drive: Make production a competitive edge—think big, act lean.

Qualifications

• Scaler: 5+ years scaling CPG production or related industry—ideally skincare or DTC—to 5,000+ units/day or beyond.
• Hands-On: Led teams of 20+ through output jumps—automation or lean wins a plus.
• Deep understanding of lean manufacturing and efficiency
• Optimizer: Proven you can do more with less—capacity hacks, no capex.
• Team Builder: Mentored crews to punch above their weight.
• In Person - Based in or willing to relocate to Peterborough, Ontario — and know our regs (health/safety, labor).
