Quality Electrical Systems is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead multiple projects in our electrical manufacturing operations. You will own cost, schedule, and performance outcomes while driving collaboration across engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams. This role offers the opportunity to directly influence product quality, customer satisfaction, and overall company growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple projects, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of manufacturing programs.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Own customer-facing schedules and deliverables using MS Project or similar tools.
  • Monitor and track project progress, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Partner with engineering, production, quality control, and supply chain to ensure alignment and seamless program execution.
  • Evaluate cost, procurement, and material ETA through ERP systems.
  • Communicate regularly with senior management, stakeholders, and customers regarding project status, risks, and milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and QES quality systems throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive process improvements to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance project delivery.
  • Mentor, coach, and support project managers, assistant project managers, and other team members to foster collaboration and high performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, project management, or a related field (Master’s preferred; experience may substitute for education).
  • Minimum 5 years of program or project management experience, preferably in electrical manufacturing or a related industrial environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects.
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred (not required).
  • Prior experience working with ERP systems for cost and procurement evaluation.
  • Proficiency in developing and managing schedules using MS Project or similar tools.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Additional Industry Knowledge (specific to QES)

  • Familiarity with NEMA enclosure ratings (1, 3R, 4, 4X, 12) and their applications.
  • Understanding of electrical equipment manufacturing processes, including enclosures, wiring, and panel assembly.
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards such as OSHA guidelines and applicable electrical codes.
  • Experience managing procurement and supply chain for electrical components and materials , with awareness of lead times and material specifications.
  • Strong grasp of quality control systems , inspection methods, and compliance requirements in electrical manufacturing.
  • Awareness of enclosure design considerations (environmental protection, corrosion resistance, sealing, ventilation).
