The Per-diem physician assistant educator will utilize their clinical practice expertise to collaborate with full-time faculty to provide a more robust educational experience for physician assistant students.

Position Duties

• Assisting course coordinators in teaching clinical or procedural skills to students.
• Preparing and delivering lectures in the area of clinical expertise.
• Participating in formative and summative assessments of students.
• Providing thoughtful feedback on student work and assisting in interviewing prospective student candidates.
• Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Position Qualifications

• Master's Degree required.
• At least 1 year of clinical practice is required.
• Current NCCPA certification required.
• Current NYS PA Licensure required.
• Prior experience in teaching Physician Assistant students is preferred.

Work Hours

up to 20 hours per week - generally Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM; hours may vary. This is an on-call assignment and shifts are scheduled through the course coordinators weeks to months in advance.
