RF Engineer – Net Systems Performance II

Location: West Nyack, NY (Hybrid – 2 days onsite, site visits as needed)

Focus: 5G/LTE RF Design, In-Building DAS, Optimization

Overview:

We are seeking an RF Engineer with 4+ years of experience in RF design and optimization for 5G/LTE/VoLTE networks. This position is a hybrid role with regular office presence in West Nyack and field site visits across the NY Metro submarket (NYC, Long Island, Westchester, Rockland, Putnam). You’ll support in-building wireless system performance (IB DAS/oDAS), conduct deep network KPI analysis, and contribute to system design and optimization projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support in-building (IB) performance of 5G/LTE networks and assist with DAS deployments and optimizations.
• Conduct KPI testing, post-processing, drive/walk testing , and root cause analysis to identify and resolve coverage/performance issues.
• Analyze service performance trends, site integration impact, and provide optimization solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams for troubleshooting and end-to-end network enhancement.
• Perform data post-processing using tools like Actix, Irisview, Windcatcher , and call flow tools like Airwave/Truecall .
• Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, and internal engineering teams for DAS integration and commissioning.
• Use Excel, SQL, and Python to extract, manipulate, and visualize performance datasets.

Top Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or related field.
• 3–4+ years in RF design and optimization (5G, LTE, VoLTE).
• Strong understanding of RF theory , network KPIs , and optimization principles.
• Experience with major RAN vendors (e.g., Samsung, Nokia, Ericsson ).
• Knowledge of IB DAS and oDAS system design, including integration and troubleshooting.
• Familiar with DAS OEMs like JMA, SOLiD, ADRF, Commscope, TE .
• Proficiency with SQL , Python , or other scripting languages.
• Tools experience: Actix, Irisview, Windcatcher, Airwave/Truecall, Excel macros/VB .

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to IP/microwave transport , SD-WAN , or macro network engineering .
• Experience with project workflow tools like Fuze .
• Familiarity with GIS and RF modeling data sources.

Work Details:

• Hybrid role: 2 days/week in West Nyack office (Tuesday + flexible day).
• Required to attend site visits across NY Metro submarket .
• Full-time hours, long-term project, with excellent exposure to next-gen network tech .
