Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides skilled direct lactation care and instruction to breastfeeding mothers and infants throughout the health care facility, including inpatient and outpatient settings. Promotes breastfeeding and assists with facilitating change within the clinical settings using evidence-based care management.

What you will do in this role:

Performs complete accurate lactation assessment on assigned patients

Plans comprehensive lactation intervention and guidance based on assessments to assigned patients according to written lactation standards

Professional standards, personal growth and development

Accepts responsibility for being a resource person for lactation services

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Intl Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
• Registered Nurse
• Registered Nurse Diploma
