We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our dynamic team on a temporary basis. As a servant leader and coach, you will facilitate all scrum ceremonies for two scrum teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software and the timely achievement of business objectives. This role is central to fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment and guiding teams toward continuous improvement and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Agile Processes: Lead all scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives for two scrum teams.
  • Agile Coaching: Guide and coach teams on Agile best practices to maximize customer satisfaction and business partner engagement.
  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve impediments, escalating issues to the Release Train Engineer (RTE) or management as needed.
  • PI Planning Support: Facilitate breakout sessions, assist with work sequencing, and organize features on the program board. Represent teams during draft and final plan reviews.
  • Team Development: Encourage self-organization and foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and psychological safety.
  • Backlog Management: Ensure accurate and up-to-date Jira issues, including well-defined features and stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners (POs), RTEs, and other stakeholders to ensure teams meet their PI objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Embrace feedback and use it to improve team processes and performance.

WQualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • SAFe certification, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or Certified Product Owner (CSPO) is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years as a Scrum Master for software development teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks such as SAFe, Large Scale Scrum (LeSS), or another scaled agile model. Certification in a scaled agile framework is highly desirable if no prior experience.
  • Proven success in leading distributed or virtual teams.

Skills:

  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles and traditional project management principles.
  • Proficiency with Jira or similar Agile tools.
  • Growth mindset and strategic thinking capabilities.
