Description SEASONAL Lifeguard Directly Reports To: Director of Wellness ***WILL CERTIFY! You will implement all water safety policies and procedures; supervises members and guests in and around the swimming pools.

Brook Hollow Golf Club of Dallas, Texas was founded in 1920 as a private, Member-owned golf club. At 100 years old, the Club continues to prosper and flourish through its endeavors, employees, culture and core values. Members and guests can immerse themselves into an exclusive Golf course, a superior sports complex for Tennis, Wellness and Swimming, then dine in one of our first-class, Clubhouse facilities-where our Chef's and staff create memorable experiences.
Job Responsibilities: - Create a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Maintains a clean pool and pool deck.
- Keeps pool entry area neat and organized.
- Greets members and guests at sign in desk, assists with questions, and answers phone.
- Supervises and observes swimmers continuously to ensure their safety by constantly scanning lifeguard zones.
- Picks up all towels not being used by members and guests in pool areas.
- Helps with the organization and monitoring of pool games.
- Maintains all necessary records.
- Tests and adds chemicals to pool as instructed.
- Attends all meetings and in-service training once a week to keep certifications valid.
- Additional duties as directed by a manager.
- Must be able to clearly understand and verbally communicate with Members, guests and co-workers in English and in writing.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule and/or over time if needed.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Must work well with others as a team and help co-workers as needed.
- Must possess integrity, be honesty and courteous to all persons.
- Must be able to push, pull, carry or lift up to 30lbs.
Special Requirements: - Must be able to clearly understand and communicate with Members, guests, and co-workers in English to include verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work a flexible work week with open availability to include nights, weekends and occasionally holidays.
- Must work well with others as a team and help co-workers when needed.
- Must always be courteous and tactful.
- Must possess honesty and integrity.
- Must be willing to work 20-30 hours per week.
