Senior Accountant
About the Role:
A growing consumer goods company is seeking a Senior Accountant for an 8-week temporary assignment to cover a leave of absence. The ideal candidate will have experience in monthly close processes and general ledger account reconciliation. This role is best suited for someone who can thrive in a dynamic, collaborative workspace and is comfortable managing complex accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Perform prepaid and accrual accounting
Support ongoing financial reporting and audit-related tasks
Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams on accounting matters
Utilize multiple systems, including SAP and QuickBooks, to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data
Qualifications:
Strong accounting background with experience in month-end close and general ledger management
Proficiency in Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP
Prior experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry is a plus
Experience working with SAP and/or QuickBooks
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
