About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to join its North American Legal Department. The successful candidate will serve as the lead in-house attorney on a variety of legal matters, including commercial and employment issues. This role requires the ability to work independently, interact with internal clients at all levels, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company guidelines. Key responsibilities include identifying risk areas, preparing and reviewing contracts, advising on contract terms, and supporting outside counsel in litigation. The ideal candidate will have a JD degree, be admitted to the Texas bar or have the ability to secure admission, and have a minimum of 3 years' related experience in a large law firm, in-house position, or both. Applicants for the Senior Corporate Counsel position at the company should possess a JD degree from an accredited US law school and be admitted to the Texas bar or have the ability to secure admission. A minimum of 3 years' of related experience in commercial law and employment is required. The role demands excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects under deadline pressure. The candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong project management skills, and have the ability to effectively communicate and establish rapport with diverse business partners. Responsibilities also include providing legal analysis, drafting legal documents, and managing outside counsel to meet budget goals.
