JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Interior Designer is responsible for defining the scope of work through assessing the client's needs, requirements, and design/décor style. This position will provide design expertise and recommendations to clients including concept development, field measurements, space planning, generating visual plan layouts and sourcing products, materials, and accessories. The Senior Interior Designer will be tasked with attending client meetings and creating client presentations while working towards multiple deadlines. Additionally, this position will assist the Director of Interior Design in providing additional oversight for the interior design staff, ensuring that interior designers are being trained and mentored and the needs and progress of the interior design staff are being reported.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in Design and Architecture; Required
CERTIFICATIONS, Licenses, and Registrations
  • Certified Interior Designer; Preferred
  • CA Driver's License; Required
WORK EXPERIENCE
  • 3-5 years of management experience within the industry; Required
KEY SKILLS SET
  • Strong customer service skills;
  • Have a good understanding of basic design principles;
  • Must have a high level of current product knowledge in the marketplace, including but not limited to flooring, tile, countertops, paint, plumbing, appliances, and electrical;
  • Ability to balance multiple projects;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight deadlines;
  • Have the ability to visualize concepts and explain them to others;
  • Be able to complete difficult tasks with limited supervision;
  • Build relationships with clients and be able to work with different personality types;
  • Have an understanding of product costs and how they affect project budgets; and
  • Be a team player.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
