First American Trust is seeking a motivated Scrum Master with 5 – 7 years of experience to facilitate scrum events, coach and mentor team members, help Product Owners to manage their backlog, and enable teams to deliver critical business objectives. The Senior Scrum Master is a servant leader and coach of our Lean-Agile Office, helping to implement FA Trust’s business agility roadmap to scale and mature agility, deliver value, and achieve the desired outcomes for our customers. Responsibilities include driving effective scrum events such as daily standup, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives; tracking and distributing relevant metrics and reports to show team progress and velocity; identifying, understanding, and tracking impediments and helping remove them; helping the Product Owner manage customer expectations and stakeholder communications; acting as a liaison between the team and others to minimize interruptions; building a safe and trusting team environment; representing the team in Scrum of Scrums and ART Sync; helping the team prepare for PI Planning; coaching the team and Product Owner on improving agile practices. Requirements include demonstrated experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), servant leadership skills, ability to build and coach high-performing teams, experience on Scrum teams developing software/digital products, knowledge of JIRA or other agile tools, exceptional communication skills, Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT or related fields, 5-7 years using Scrum framework, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and experience training and mentoring Scrum teams. Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience or certifications are a plus. The role may require working outside normal hours based on business needs.
