Summary:

We are seeking a Shipping Supervisor to join our team at KUS Americas! The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for formulating the annual shipping department plan in alignment with the group’s operations strategy. This role oversees and optimizes the shipping management system, ensures punctual delivery of products, controls logistics costs, and maintains compliance with regulations. The Shipping Supervisor also manages domestic and international logistics, supports customer audits, and provides leadership, training, and development to the shipping team.

Responsibilities:

• Organize the formulation and implementation of the annual shipping management plan according to the group’s operations management strategy.
• Prepare import/export and domestic transportation plans, breaking them down into stage plans to support business needs.
• Coordinate with the team on daily routines and assignments, prioritizing workload to ensure timely shipments.
• Continuously improve and optimize shipping processes, including the SAP shipping platform (sales, shipping, warehouse, quality assurance, logistics).
• Operate forklift when receiving inbound shipments.
• Train team members on outbound palletized shipment processing.
• Enhance and standardize the shipping management system to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Collaborate with the logistics department to optimize import and export processes and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Manage domestic and international logistics, including abnormal shipments, customer complaints, and transportation management, to ensure on-time delivery.
• Select logistics companies, analyze options, and provide recommendations for supplier selection.
• Participate in the development of transport plans and freight quotations, providing decision-making input for shipping operations.
• Support customer audits and prepare reports for internal audits, customer audits, and annual system audits.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor shipping staff to ensure consistent performance and professional growth.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review priorities, resolve issues, and align with company goals.
• Provide training and cross-training opportunities to increase team flexibility and skill sets.
• Conduct performance evaluations, deliver feedback, and manage corrective actions when necessary.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and collaborative work environment that reflects company values.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing a shipping/logistics team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to motivate, develop, and evaluate team members effectively.
• Strong conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
• Ability to apply common sense and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on tasks and propose improvements.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, SAP, and VAVE/OKR.
