Description:
In this seat you’ll manage functional and administrative duties of the Shipping Department.
This seat reports to: Logistics Manager
More specifics about what this seat does:
· Supervise all Shipping Department personnel
· Coordinate all labeling, picking, packing and shipping requirements for all external shipments.
· Oversee inventory control of finished items, including cycle counting and audit participation.
· Review shipment orders for accuracy and work with Sales on order changes, cancellations, backorders, holds, ship with’s, and specials.
· Formulate warehouse control activities – establish and maintain location systems.
· Optimize designated shipping areas as needed.
· Drive improvement in delivery, safety, and productivity in the Shipping Department.
· Backup Logistics Manager and Logistics Coordinators as needed.
· Perform additional duties and projects as requested.
Requirements:We need this seat to have:
· 3-5 years of experience in distribution and operations.
· Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.
· Familiarity with ERP system – IFS preferred
· Experience working with and leading union personnel.
· Attention to detail.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Good telephone etiquette.
· Must be computer literate.
· Good leadership skills.
