Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Shopify Theme Developer to join our team. In this role, you will enhance and optimize our Shopify theme features, ensuring seamless performance and providing tailored solutions for clients. You will use your expertise in frontend technologies to develop responsive designs that meet industry best practices for accessibility, SEO, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop custom Shopify theme features using HTML, Tailwind CSS, TypeScript, and React.
• Enhance core Shopify theme features with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Convert Figma designs into fully functional, responsive Shopify themes.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues on the Shopify platform.
• QA all changes and ensure adherence to high standards for site performance, accessibility, and SEO.
• Implement and integrate third-party apps and extensions into Shopify themes.
• Stay updated with the latest Shopify platform advancements and best practices.

Qualifications

• Frontend Development: Advanced knowledge of responsive design using Tailwind CSS. Proficiency in translating static designs into interactive interfaces.
• HTML & CSS: Mastery in writing semantic, well-structured HTML. In-depth knowledge of accessibility, SEO, and HTML element functionality. Extensive experience with Tailwind CSS for custom utilities and theming.
• Shopify Theme Development: Proficient in Liquid template language and Shopify core data models. Advanced knowledge of metafields, metaobjects, and Shopify Search & Discovery app. Familiarity with Shopify CLI and Admin API is a plus.
• Additional Skills: Experience with Prettier, ESLint, and Git. Familiarity with state management tools like Zustand.
• Requirements: 8+ years of front-end development experience. 2+ years of experience in Shopify theme development and Tailwind CSS. 4+ years of experience with TypeScript, and 2+ years with React/AlpineJS. Proven ability to design, optimize, and implement user-centric web solutions. Professional fluency in English with strong communication skills. Undergraduate degree preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
