Key Responsibilities of the Shopify Web Developer Store Development & Customization – Develop, customize, and maintain the Shopify Plus storefront and related integrations; implement pixel-perfect designs from Figma into responsive Shopify themes; develop both front-end and back-end features; launch new products and campaigns every 4–6 weeks; ensure assets are implemented seamlessly; integrate and customize Shopify apps, scripts, and APIs as needed. Site Optimization & Performance – Monitor and improve site speed, load times, and responsiveness; optimize scripts, images, and code for a mobile-first experience; leverage PageSpeed Insights and other tools; identify bottlenecks and implement long-term performance fixes. Troubleshooting & Maintenance – Debug and resolve issues quickly; test changes in staging; deploy updates during low-traffic windows; maintain clean code and consistency across updates. Integrations & Automation – Manage critical integrations (Recharge, Klaviyo, TripleWhale, analytics, and pixel tracking); troubleshoot app conflicts; recommend new apps and automations to streamline workflows. Collaboration & Growth – Work with marketing/design teams on launches; provide feasibility input on timelines; suggest improvements to UX, conversions, and checkout flow; stay current with Shopify updates and e-commerce best practices; document processes and develop scalable dev workflows. Research & Innovation – Explore Shopify trends; suggest opportunities for innovation; test and recommend A/B strategies; contribute insights to strengthen the DTC journey.
