Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and motivated Spa and Wellness Manager for our 110-room full-service luxury resort located in the picturesque town of Cooperstown, New York. This vital role is responsible for overseeing and developing all aspects of our spa operations, wellness programs, and guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership : Recruit, train, and lead a team of spa and wellness professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and guest-centric service.
  • Spa Operations : Manage daily spa operations, ensuring smooth functionality, cleanliness, and adherence to luxury standards.
  • Guest Experience : Deliver a world-class guest experience by designing and implementing innovative wellness services and exceptional spa offerings that exceed expectations.
  • Revenue Management : Drive revenue and profitability by creating targeted marketing strategies, managing budgets, and offering attractive packages and promotions.
  • Program Development : Develop and execute wellness programs that align with current trends and guest preferences, including fitness classes, holistic therapies, and mindfulness initiatives.
  • Vendor Relations : Establish and maintain strong partnerships with product vendors to ensure the availability of premium products and services.
  • Compliance : Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and legal regulations related to spa operations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing spa and wellness operations, preferably within a luxury resort setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, focusing on mentorship and team development.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
  • A thorough understanding of trends and advancements in the wellness and hospitality industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve financial goals and manage budgets effectively.
  • Certification in spa or wellness-related disciplines and knowledge of spa software systems is a plus.
