- Participate in a comprehensive process for developing financial plans, including annual budgets, monthly re-forecasts, and long-range strategic plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Prepare a monthly reporting package for executive leadership that includes earnings analysis, selected financial statement elements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and insights into significant investment portfolio trends.
- Deliver budget and forecast reports on the investment portfolio to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the preparation of ad-hoc investment forecasting requests as needed.
- Support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations and maintain an effective internal control environment related to the investment planning process.
- Foster a culture of financial transparency and continuous improvement.

**Experience and Education Requirements**

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in investment accounting and financial reporting is required; FP&A experience is preferred.
- CPA or MBA is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with general ledgers, databases, and report writing is desired.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**

- Strong understanding of STAT and GAAP investment accounting principles is required.
- Knowledge of annuity and life insurance products is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- A passion for tackling new challenges, demonstrating leadership, and achieving results.
- Strong analytical and intuitive skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic thinking and planning capabilities.
- Experience in process improvement and leveraging technology for enhanced efficiency.
- A self-directed individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment.

**Other Requirements**

- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Minimal travel may be required (less than 10%).

**Work Environment**

We believe in fostering an employee-centric and flexible work environment, offering options for in-office, hybrid, and remote work arrangements. During the hiring process, you will collaborate with your leader to determine the best work setup for your role.

We are committed to complying with federal and state disability laws and will make reasonable accommodations for applicants and candidates with disabilities, unless such accommodations would cause undue hardship.
