Job Description
Gelateria Gentile locations are vibrant spaces featuring Italian coffee, pastries, artisanal gelato, and quick-service counters for to-go options. The Store Manager will oversee the daily operations of the gelato shop, supporting our team and ensuring that every guest experiences the warmth of Italian hospitality. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you’ll supervise Sales Associates and maintain a welcoming, efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations with a positive, steady presence, engaging with guests, team members, and vendors to uphold Gelateria Gentile’s high standards
• Train, motivate, mentor, and organize team members to create a cohesive and enthusiastic team
• Monitor inventory, process orders, and request supplies as necessary to maintain smooth service
• Manage transactions with accuracy, ensuring financial accountability
• Record shift notes and assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling when required
• Uphold quality, health, safety, and sanitation standards consistently
• Document, investigate, and resolve guest issues with professionalism
• Assist with additional duties as needed to support the team and store

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role in food service
• Proficiency in math and handling money accurately
• Solid understanding of customer service and hospitality practices
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• NYC Food Handler Card
• Knowledge of coffee preparation and Italian cuisine is a plus

Requirements:

• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
• Proficiency with espresso machines, blenders, oven, and cash registers
