Essential Functions:
Instruction & Curriculum Development: Provide engaging instruction to program participants, assess curriculum effectiveness, and develop new material to meet participants' needs and program objectives. Take the lead in team teaching situations.
Recruitment & Intake: Develop recruitment strategies and assess the needs of potential participants. Guide them through intake procedures and make referrals as necessary to ensure they get the support they need.
Progress Tracking: Maintain records of individual and group progress according to program guidelines and professional standards.
Reporting & Analysis: Collect and analyze program data, preparing reports and summaries for supervisors.
Resource Management: Order and manage instructional materials, and provide transportation and financial assistance to participants within program guidelines.
Team Collaboration: Actively participate in staff meetings and training sessions. Lead meetings as needed and engage in additional training opportunities.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
At least three years of experience in service provision or a similar role.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Reliable and timely access to transportation.
Comfortable working with individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
Strong ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
High level of emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other commonly used software.
Work Arrangement:
This position is eligible for a hybrid or remote work arrangement. You may be asked to attend in-person meetings as needed. There is also flexibility for working from home when appropriate.
Work Environment:
The work environment typically has a moderate noise level.
The organization operates 24/7, requiring flexibility in work schedules and locations.
Our program sites are located throughout the Chicago area, and you may be asked to report to different locations as needed.
Physical Demands:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Regular sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
Must have the physical capability to provide assistance when necessary, including physical restraint.
Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
