Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a busy Labor & Delivery position requiring L&D and Postpartum experience along with ACLS, BCLS, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a Level III Labor & Delivery unit within a Level II Trauma Center
• Handles a high patient volume with over 400 births in the summer
• Shift options include 3 or 4 twelve-hour day shifts, with typical hours from 6:30 to 19:00
• Frequent weekend coverage required, often every other weekend or based on unit needs
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
• Floating between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units, and potentially to similar units or sister hospitals, is expected
• All travelers are expected to float within hospital and potentially to sister facilities as needed
• Three-day orientation during the first week is provided
• Must work at least 3 of the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day
• No holiday time off requests will be accommodated; all RTO must be discussed at time of application
• Scrub color is flexible but reddish orange is not permitted
• Facility-provided parking is available at no cost
• Modules are required to be completed pre-start and annually, with average completion time of 16 hours

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active WA or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery and Postpartum nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Ability to float to similar units as needed
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years in a comparable setting
• No local candidates accepted; must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Pending WA or compact RN license is accepted for consideration
• Former perm staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
