Registered Nurse – LTAC ICU
Facility: LifeBridge Health – Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital
Location: 2434 W Belvedere Ave, Baltimore, MD 21215
Contract Length: 14 Weeks
Shift: Nights – 4x12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

 

Compensation for 48 hours: $3,100 Per Week

  • Weekly Gross: $3,100.00 Per Week
  • On W2(Taxable): $960.00 Per Week ($20/hour)
  • Stipend (Non-Taxable): $2,140.00 Per Week

Job Overview:

LifeBridge Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to provide high-quality care for adult and geriatric patients requiring critical and complex nursing care. This role floats across multiple units including High Intensity Care Unit (HICU), Brain Health Unit (BHU), and Burk 2 (LTC Ventilator Unit). The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of nursing experience with acute care exposure and holds current ACLS and BLS certifications.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and ventilator-dependent patients across various units (HICU, BHU, Burk 2).
  2. Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage cardiac emergencies using ACLS protocols.
  3. Float to different hospital units as needed, adapting care plans to meet diverse patient acuity levels.
  4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services to optimize patient outcomes.
  5. Utilize clinical judgment to assess patient status, manage ventilators, and respond promptly to alarms and emergencies.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1 year nursing experience required;
    • 2 years experience required for HICU unit .
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (Required)
    • BLS (Required)
    • NIHSS and Basic EKG (Preferred)
  • Licensure:
    • Valid Maryland RN license or Compact license at time of submission
  • Skills:
    • Cardiac monitoring and emergency response
    • Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
    • Acute care and ventilator management experience required

Unit Details:

  • Primary Units:
    • HICU: 40-bed ICU step-down and telemetry unit
    • BHU: 60-bed Brain Health Unit with neurological and medical patients
    • Burk 2: 18-23 bed ventilator-dependent long-term care unit
  • Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
  • Float Requirement: Yes, candidate will float within hospital units based on staffing needs
