Waiter and Waitresses: 12 fulltime, temporary, peakload (H-2B) jobs available 05/01/2025-10/31/2025
Employer: Westchester Country Club, 99 Biltmore Ave, Rye, NY 71391.
Duties: Serves meals to patrons in formal setting; presents menus, suggests courses/wines; answers questions on food preparation; writes order on check and relays it to kitchen; serves courses from kitchen/bars; garnishes dishes before serving; observes diners to respond to any request and determine when meal has been completed; maintains cleanliness on the dining tables, before and after meal; presents bill for payment.
No minimum education or experience requirement. Ability to communicate in English. Workers will be provided with on-the-job training to perform the duties assigned.
Work hours: Shifts may vary: variable shifts 7 days a week (Mon-Sun): 9am-11pm; 40 hours/week at $24.45/hour. Possible OT, as needed, at $36.68/hour. Raises/bonuses may be offered to any worker based on performance, skill, tenure.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. Employer provides workers with optional free lodging and board.
Workers will be provided with daily transportation to and from the worksite in compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations.
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
Transportation (the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved) (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. Daily subsistence rates are $16.28/day without receipts or up to $68/day with receipts.
