Welder Position

A welder for Bastian Solutions will be responsible for general welding/fitting producing weldments for material equipment projects. The main emphasis for this position is welding/fitting, other duties to include fabrication, assembly, and painting of projects as well as general repair and maintenance of Bastian Solutions shop equipment. A welder will be responsible for maintaining tolerances and dimensions specified by individual print. A welder I will have 1-2 years of experience in the welding/fitting field.

Job Functions:

• With guidance ability to build high quality welded parts from blueprints with low rejection rate. Must maintain tolerances detailed on blueprints
• With guidance works from sketches/drawings to produce parts from sheet metal, plate, bar stock, and aluminum
• Keep workspace in a neat and organized order
• Show mutual respect for coworkers
• Show up to work every day on time
• Maintain a positive attitude
• Overtime required when necessary
• Follow safety protocols per JSA (Job Safety Analysis)

Preferred Skills and Required Qualifications:

• Relevant welding experience required
• Positive attitude, able to handle tense situations that arise
• Team player, able to take direction
• General knowledge of fabrication equipment including horizontal saws, lathes, mills, & drill presses
• Onsite weld test given prior to employment to establish skill set
• Minimum High School or GED diploma

Travel Requirements:

• No travel is required for this role.
