Job Description

Job Summary:
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree and 1-5 years of relevant experience.
- Local Chicago candidates only; remote work position.
- Perform treasury and cash management activities, including supporting daily and month-end processes.
- Access and analyze bank and investment institution reports for cash projections and reporting.
- Determine daily cash positions for business units, identifying excesses or shortages and taking appropriate action.
- Gather, analyze, and monitor daily bank transaction reports regarding money movement.
- Review daily Positive Pay check clearing exceptions and ACH return items to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
- Review, approve, and occasionally initiate daily fund disbursements (ACH or FED Wire transactions).
- Maintain bank routing information and calculate investment fund redemptions to cover disbursements.
- Prepare month-end standard accounting entries related to treasury and investment activities.
- Generate various month-end cash, reconciliation, and investment transfer reports for controls and accuracy.
- Acquire, update, and deliver electronic banking reports and statements for financial reporting and tax purposes.
- Perform weekly and month-end banking reconciliations in collaboration with financial reporting staff.
- Update cash projection reports as needed.
- Prepare and review daily cash reports and investment action strategies.
- Access Letter of Credit facilities as needed for program funding.
- Apply GAAP in preparing income statements, balance sheets, and other accounting reports.
- Assist in preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and conducting account analyses.
- Audit various bank and GL accounts to verify accuracy.
- Reports directly to the Director of Treasury Operations.
