Spectrum Marketing Companies, a leader in direct mail marketing, commercial printing, large-format sign production, and graphic design, is looking for an Assistant   Estimator to join our dynamic team.

About the Role

As an Assistant Estimator, you will play a critical role in supporting our production and sales teams by preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial printing and direct mail related projects. This position offers hands-on experience in estimating and pricing, with opportunities to learn about industry-leading technology and workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project specifications to calculate costs for materials, labor, and time.
• Collaborate with sales, production, and design teams to ensure accurate quotes.
• Research and source materials from vendors to determine competitive pricing.
• Use estimating software and tools to prepare detailed job estimates.
• Assist with job planning and ensure alignment with client budgets and timelines.
• Maintain detailed records of estimates, project specifications, and pricing updates.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 1-2 years in a related field (e.g., estimating, commercial printing, or manufacturing) is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right candidate who might be looking for a career change with applicable skills.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Skills:
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other relevant software; experience with estimating tools is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to thrive under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Fine motor skills for keyboarding, manipulating documentation.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
