Apply now to join our team and be part of something truly meaningful.Want to Know More, Keep Reading!The Shelter Case Manager holds the responsibility of assessing the needs of our guest families, developing household stabilization plans, and collaborating with housing liaison staff to create housing portfolios. Additionally, they are tasked with developing and maintaining relationships with agencies and community organizations to aid our guests in regaining and retaining housing. Serving as the primary point of contact for their caseload while program participants are in shelter, the Case Manager offers assistance in navigating resources and understanding shelter policies and procedures. This position necessitates on-site presence from Thursday to Sunday.Required Qualifications:A degree in social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred. However, lived experience or professional experience in other social services may be considered as alternatives.Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory for this roleStrong organizational skills, including scheduling, the use of calendars, time management, and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills and the ability to ensure prompt follow-through.Ability to authentically connect with others and meet participants where they are while maintaining appropriate and professional boundaries.Ability to navigate challenging discussions with appropriate boundaries and confidentiality.Strong desire and willingness to advocate on behalf of participants and work with them to hold them accountable for their housing goals.Compassionate and empathetic, with a willingness to understand barriers to housing.Experience in at least two of the following areas, with a desire to learn: case management, homeless shelters, community living, chronic homelessness, outreach and engagement strategies, housing navigation, mental health and substance use disorder services, crisis intervention, suicide assessment and prevention, domestic violence, safety planning, affordable housing and public benefits applications, housing and landlord/tenant rights, and eviction prevention.Desired Qualifications: Experience in case management2 years of experience working with the homeless populationProficiency in HMIS and/or Apricot databasesFamiliarity with Google Drive and OutlookAt FPTV, we recognize that talent and potential come in many forms.
