If you answered yes to both of these questions, the Department of Public Transportation's School Bus Driver position may be the right career for you! The School Bus Driver is a full-time position with benefits and a preferred starting hourly rate of $18.96 per hour. Paid on-the-job training will be provided for candidates without a CDL and/or prior experience. The position is required to work 10-months out of the year and will be paid for the work hours over a 12-month period, allowing benefits to continue during the summer break. The ideal candidate must be available for a minimum of 5 hours per day/180 days per year with additional hours potentially available throughout the year within the same department.
