*Position Summary*
To perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel, while maintaining a positive physical and psychosocial environment for the residents.
*Position Responsibilities*
* Assists residents with activities associated with daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing bed linens, collecting specimens, applying dressings, walking and/or other exercise routines, and repositioning bedridden individuals, alone or with assistance.
* Assures physical comfort and mental well-being of all residents.
* Prepares residents for meals and snacks and assists with distributing food trays.
* Feeds residents based on need and disability.
* Observes residents' conditions and documents and reports changes.
* Assists in the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents.
*EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE*
* *Education:* High school diploma or equivalent is required.
* *Certification: *Current Nurse Aide Certification required.
* *Experience:* Prior long term care or geriatric experience is helpful.
