CoWorx is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join our production team in Biddeford, ME
This role is ideal for someone mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Schedule: Monday–Friday

Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints to ensure part accuracy prior to machining.
• Operate and shut down CNC vertical bed mills and enclosed CNC milling machines following established procedures and safety requirements.
• Assist coworkers in tool selection (drills, taps, countersinks, etc.).
• Perform basic machine operations to produce parts (square tubing, blocks, plates, round stock).
• Confirm all safety devices are in place and perform daily maintenance checks.
• Measure parts for accuracy and consistency using precision measuring tools.
• Align and maintain tooling for peak performance.
• Use Bridgeport and Tap Table for drilling, tapping, countersinking, and counterboring as needed.
• Consider pallet weight and stacking methods to maintain safe capacity.
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and coworkers about workflow.
• Maintain machine coolant and keep a clean, organized work center.
• Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned to help Prescott achieve its goals.

Desired Background/Skills:

• High school or technical school diploma, or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of G-Code/M-Code; FANUC controller knowledge a plus.
• Familiarity with drills, taps, countersinks, and cutting tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Mechanically inclined; prior machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment (tape measure, dial caliper, micrometer, dial indicator, depth gauge).
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and time management.
• Fast learner with a desire to improve.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Completed training on battery-operated pallet jack.
