We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining credentialing processes for providers, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. The position requires working with large volumes of data, strict adherence to deadlines, and consistent follow-up with internal teams, external partners, and providers to ensure accuracy and completion of credentialing files. salary: $21.63 - $37.85 per hour shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM education: High School Responsibilities In this position you will be responsible for: Collect, verify, and process credentialing documents and applications for healthcare providers. Maintain accurate and up-to-date credentialing records in internal databases and systems. Perform regular audits of credentialing data to ensure completeness, compliance, and accuracy. Conduct primary source verifications of licenses, certifications, education, and other credentials. Communicate regularly with providers, payers, licensing boards, and other third parties to obtain necessary information and resolve issues. Monitor and track credentialing and re-credentialing deadlines to ensure timely completion. Prepare and submit credentialing packets to payers and regulatory bodies. Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Human Resources, Compliance, Provider Relations) to support credentialing-related initiatives. Assist in the development and maintenance of credentialing policies, procedures, and workflows. Generate reports on credentialing status, expirations, and compliance metrics. Proactively follow up on outstanding documentation and escalate delays or discrepancies as needed.
