Job Summary: The Delivery Box Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a box truck to deliver goods and materials to work sites and assist with unloading. The driver ensures timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transportation and Delivery:
   • Operate a box truck to transport goods and materials to various locations.
   • Ensure timely and accurate deliveries
2. Safety and Compliance:
   • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
   • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working order.
   • Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to the Fleet Maintenance Coordinator.
   • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
3. Customer Service:
   • Interact with customers professionally and courteously.
   • Verify delivery details and obtain necessary signatures and documentation.
   • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to deliveries.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant data.
   • Complete and submit required documentation, such as delivery logs and vehicle inspection reports.
5. Team Collaboration:
   • Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure accurate order preparation and loading.
   • Communicate effectively with the team regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clear driving record.
• Experience driving a box truck or similar vehicle (16 ft and 26 ft).
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Ability to work schedule as required for each project (typical schedule Monday through Friday - 6:00 am starting time - occasional weekend work as needed)
• Working Conditions:
• This position involves driving for extended periods and may require lifting and moving heavy items.
• The job may require working in various weather conditions.
