Job Description:

The person we are looking for will need to be able to perform tasks associated with hazardous and non-hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, facility & equipment decontamination, above-ground and underground tank cleaning activities, and confined space entry projects. Employees will report to Downingtown, PA, and depart to various job sites from there with a team for each day.

Essential Functions:

• Ensures that Health and Safety policies and processes are followed as well as acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Operate light equipment including, but not limited to: pumps, vacuum equipment, generators, pressure washers, skid loaders, and hand power tools.
• Perform work activities related to chemical, oil, and water spills.
• Work in atmospheres and locations with the potential for exposure to various chemical and physical agents, some may be hazardous, toxic, or corrosive.
• Working in confined spaces above & below ground and on & under equipment.
• Working at elevations including working from ladders, scaffolding, and power lifts.
• Completion of associated paperwork, including but not limited to daily worksheets, tailgate safety sheets, vehicle inspections, equipment inspections, and Health and Safety requirements & permits.
• Effectively complete forms and read and understand procedures and safety information.

Work Environment:

• May be exposed to contaminants or hazardous materials.
• Works in a typically loud environment, requiring protective equipment such as work boots, safety glasses, and reflective vests.
• Must be able to withstand hot, cold, wet weather conditions.
• Working at high elevations such as off ladders, scaffolding, and powered lifts. Will be required to work in confined spaces.

• The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee must frequently lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This position is full-time. Work hours will generally be day shift, with some evenings and weekends.

Travel:
Some travel is expected with this position.

• Confined space entry certification.
• Minimum 6+ months experience.
