Job Description

Responsibilities:  

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with forklifts.
  • Replace faulty parts and components as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on forklifts.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Assist with other maintenance tasks as required.
  • This involves working with hydraulic systems, maintaining electrical systems, and checking for structural problems.
  • Forklift mechanics typically develop and follow a scheduled maintenance plan for all machines, troubleshoot issues as they occur, maintain an inventory of spare parts, and generally work to ensure mechanical problems affect warehouse operations as rarely as possible. , driving around to pick up supplies, and recording work-orders and maintenance logs to track the history of each forklift.

Qualifications:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in forklift maintenance is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a forklift mechanic or in a similar role.

  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
