East Georgia Regional Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to join a high-volume, well-established single-specialty GI group . With a respected senior physician, a streamlined GI suite, and a strong referral network, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a stable, efficient, and highly regarded program. • Hospital-employed role with strong administrative and clinical support
• Join 2 employed Gastroenterologists
• A private practice GI also participates in call, creating a 1:3 weekday clinic call and 1:4 hospital call
• Outpatient-only position with clinic directly across from the GI suite; both connected to the hospital by breezeway for smooth, efficient workflow
• Flexible scheduling options, including the possibility of a 4-day workweek
• Clinic hours: M-Th 8am-5pm; Fri 8am-noon
• General GI practice; one current provider performs ERCP
• ERCP preferred, but not required
• Procedure volume expected to be 10% above average due to demand
• No resident mentoring responsibilities
• Strong focus on maintaining a balanced call schedule to ensure long-term physician satisfaction and retention
• Opportunity to participate in clinical research and clinical trials, contributing to innovation in GI care

Compensation & Benefits

• Exceptional earning potential:
• Total compensation can exceed $900k through base salary + wRVU incentives

• Student loan support: Up to $75k

Hospital & GI Program Environment

East Georgia Regional Medical Center is a 150-bed , physician-partially-owned acute-care hospital with a medical staff of more than 90 physicians and approximately 750 team members. The GI service is considered one of the “star” programs within the organization, known for efficient operations, strong collegiality, and an exceptionally respected senior GI provider.

Hospital services include:

• 24-hour emergency department
• Level II neonatal center
• Same-day surgery and ambulatory care
• Pain management and wound care centers
• Two cardiac catheterization labs
• Advanced imaging: digital mammography, MRI, CT, PET/CT, nuclear medicine
• Interventional cardiology & radiology
• Strong referral base with 9 OB/GYNs, 21 primary care providers, 3 general surgeons
• Robust hospitalist program with 10 physicians (8 day, 2 night)
