Client is the largest privately owned Subsafe company in the Hampton Roads area. The mission of client is to handle the overhaul of submarines that are dry docked. The Waterfront Engineers provide solutions to issues that arise while installing the new materials during builds.
Day-to-day:
Insight Global is looking for an experienced Waterfront Engineer or Project Engineer to join a larger federal client. They will be the SME when it comes to creating a plan for corrective actions when something is not correct during the overhaul. For example, if a bolt is stripped, they need to come up with a plan, work with the design team to fix the drawings, and work with the project manager to sell the solution to the government. With being a SME, they need to know FAR/DFAR clauses and different naval codes (Welding, Mechanical, or Structural)
