Roofing Project Manager Job Duties:

  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and review project details with clients and trade partners.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, manufacturer representatives, inspectors, and related trade professionals to plan, install, and finalize roofing projects.
  • Attend project orientations and pre-construction meetings as required.
  • Review material specifications and quantities provided by the Estimating Department.
  • Assess lead times and develop project timelines accordingly.
  • Place orders for materials based on information from the Estimating Department.
  • Manage the collection and organization of equipment and staging quotes.
  • Follow company policies to procure necessary project materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate the hiring of installation crews and assign responsibilities.
  • Use forecasting tools to schedule the delivery of materials, equipment, and staging items.
  • Address delays, emergencies, and other issues that may arise during the project.
  • Ensure compliance with worksite safety codes and legal requirements throughout the project.
  • Report project progress, including timelines and budget updates, to both clients and the director.
  • Clearly communicate scope of work and technical details to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the site supervisor on the progress of installations.
  • Ensure compliance with design specifications and internal quality standards.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations to monitor project timeliness and installation quality.
  • Lead site visits with clients, contractors, field crews, inspectors, and other professionals as needed.
  • Oversee project change orders, including estimates and material orders as necessary.
  • Manage the resolution of project deficiencies and ensure all punch list items are addressed.
  • Oversee the proper issuance of project warranties.
  • Use project management software to track project activities.
  • Review field reports from the site supervisor, including attendance and safety compliance
  • Daily meeting with the on-site supervisor to ensure daily duties are being accomplished.
  • Complete project department records and generate reports on project issues, mistakes, or timeline deviations.
