Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics – RRT Pediatrics

Schedule & Shift

• Shift: Night (3x12-Hour) | Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Block Schedules: Not available

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years (can screen 1 year with strong NICU experience)
• Charting System: Epic (Preferred)
• Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred
• Trauma Experience: Level I (Preferred)
• Certifications Required:
  • BLS, NRP, PALS* (preferred), RRT, VA license

Key Skills & Competencies

✔️ Professional Knowledge & Skills

• ABG Interpretation* (preferred)
• Medication Administration (includes Albuterol, Atrovent, Inhaled steroids, Nitric Oxide, Xopenex, and more)
• Neonatal/Pediatrics Equipment & Procedures (Ventilator management, Intubation assistance, Bronchoscopy, Trauma care*)
• Oxygen Therapy & Pulmonary Hygiene (High Flow Nasal Cannula, Tracheostomy suctioning, Nebulizer management)
• Work Settings: NICU, Pediatric Critical Care, Emergency Department

Unit Details & Patient Care

• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents
• Special Procedures: NICU, PICU, Pediatric Acute Care, high-risk deliveries, external transports, pediatric ED (Level 1 trauma center), Heliox use, HFOV, HFJV
• Ventilator Equipment:
  • Required: Servo I
  • Preferred: Puritan Bennett
