Job Title: Project Manager Job Specialty: Project Job Duration: 9 months Shift: 9:00 AM-5:00 PM (Part-time role for sourcing Independent Practitioners) Guaranteed Hours: 20 hours per week Experience: Minimum years of experience not specified License: Not specified Certifications: Not specified Must-Have: Graduate degree (HR, MPA, MPH, or MBA preferred), Project Management skills, Microsoft Excel Job Description: - Responsible for managing mission-critical, complex projects or programs to deliver results within the authorized budget on the approved time schedule. - Manage the defined scope of work and control it as required to deliver results. - Develop objective measures for evaluating project effectiveness. - Capable of managing projects across a broad range of specialty areas. - Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Apply appropriate management techniques given project-specific needs, risks, and core team member skill differences. - Manage all cross-functional aspects of the project to create defined deliverables within the authorized budget and on the approved time schedule. - Create, implement, and manage project plans, business requirement documents, communication plans, test plans, and other project documents. - Delegate and manage tasks for other functional core team members. Address project resource issues such as performance problems or availability issues. - Provide leadership to clear barriers to team progress, promote the company's good, resolve conflicts within and outside the team, and ensure project goals and staff assignments are realistic and achievable. - Drive teams toward excellence in analysis and decision-making. - Meet quality standards and produce expected deliverables during all phases of the project life cycle: initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing. - Responsible for directing the assembly of project teams, assigning responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of the project. - Communicate regularly with functional managers, project management steering committee members, executive sponsors, and other project stakeholders to provide updates on project status, issues impeding progress, earned value, and recovery plans for off-track items/tasks. - Maintain project control books and logs. - Conduct lessons learned sessions and issue closing reports.
