Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team in Fullerton, CA . The ideal candidate will be responsible for upholstering new and existing furniture using fabric, padding, springs, and webbing. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and a keen eye for detail to produce high-quality results that meet our standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strip furniture down to frames and prepare for reupholstery
Measure, cut, sew, and apply fabric or leather to furniture pieces
Install padding, webbing, and springs using hand and power tools
Repair or replace damaged frames, fabric, and cushioning
Work with a variety of upholstery materials including leather, vinyl, and fabric
Use industrial sewing machines, staple guns, tack hammers, and other upholstery tools
Interpret and follow customer instructions or design specifications
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
Ensure completed pieces meet quality control standards
Collaborate with production team members and report progress to supervisor
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as an upholsterer preferred
Familiarity with upholstery tools, techniques, and materials
Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
Ability to follow measurements and design plans accurately
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Capable of lifting and maneuvering heavy furniture items
Basic sewing and cutting skills required
High school diploma or equivalent; trade or vocational training a plus
Pay Rate:
$19.00 per hour
Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday through Friday
Occasional overtime may be required based on workload
