About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President for Medical Center Advancement and Senior Associate Vice President for University Advancement to spearhead a dynamic fundraising and engagement program. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading a strategic advancement operation to generate philanthropic support for critical initiatives, large-scale projects, and investments in new ideas and partnerships. This role is pivotal in promoting a culture of philanthropy within the medical center community, including patients, families, donors, staff, and alumni. The VP/SAVP will be responsible for managing a substantial budget and overseeing a large team, working in close collaboration with the Senior VP and Chief Advancement Officer, as well as the CEO and Dean of the School of Medicine and Dentistry, and other key faculty and physicians. Applicants for this position should have a minimum of 10 years' leadership and management experience in a complex organization, with a preference for those with a background in academic medicine or healthcare settings. The role requires a proven track record in securing significant gifts and exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills to engage effectively with the larger university community. The ideal candidate will be an enterprising advancement professional, capable of building upon the strengths of the academic medical center and contributing to its growth and sustainability through private philanthropic support.
